Excuse me while I vomit

Anne Coulter makes me physically ill. Read her interview...if you can stomach it.

I read the interview, my reaction to it is at least she has an opinion and she uses her right to express it. With some of the news about how and why Britney lost custody or who Paris is making a porn with this month, it is refreshing to read something that is thought provoking whether I agree with it or not. I don't agree with all of it, but some of it is spot on. My 2 cents!

Tim - out of curiosity...which parts did you think were "spot on"?

Without getting into a political debate, I would have to agree with the comment about us Americans feeling so violated by 9/11 when we Americans kill thousands of humans all over the world. I agreed we needed to over throw Saddam for world safety, but damn, how long do we need to keep killing people in the name of democracy. I am sympathetic to those families who lost Americans on our own soil, but we Americans kill a lot of people too for our own self righteous and self justified reasons. I also agree that Bill Clinton and his Monica fiasco was an American embarrassment that took away from our global credibility. That just my thoughts on the interview.

Oh c'mon! Let's debate ;) I think you misunderstood Coulter...from my understanding, she finds it perfectly acceptable that the US has killed (and continues to kill) thousands in the name of democracy. She's pretty clear about her 'democracy at any cost' attitude, which seems opposed to what you are saying.

Further, our country's credibility and global respect has declined dramatically since we installed George W. Bush as president. The global community doesn't care about the Bill/Monica thing, it pales in comparison to the shame and embarrassment felt over our current "leader".

Oh no, I am way to many scares to fall into the debating a woman trap! I know what gender really runs this world, and to use a House MD words, it’s not the danglers! So, I re-read the interview, and I am not sure I misunderstood this lady. Now I don’t know all of here past comments or views. I can see she must be on the right, just a little J. I took her comments about the killings in Iraq as sarcasm. When she said, “you let Saddam come to power”, one could see this is her twisted sense of humor. As for the view of Americans in the global arena, I guess I am not really qualified to judge that. I have never traveled out of this country and don’t have access to foreign peoples opinions. Most Americans don’t. Most Americans base their opinions on the world, or politics, by the spoon fed information that we all get by a few sources that call themselves impartial news organizations. Most Americans have no clue what is really going on in the world around us! Believe that!

Freedom of speech allows people like Coulter to speak her mind...whether it's useful and truthful or a bunch of garbage- oh well. Anyways- They need to bring home our troops so they can do Border Patrol...we have too many illegals in the US! How's about Mexican President Fox proposing that we join Mexico, US & Canada into a European type and share one common currency?

HEY I posted a comment about this...where is it?!

cathryn said...

Tim - I agree that most Americans don't really know what's going on in the world, which just makes people like Coulter more dangerous because she comes off as very authoritative.

Jimmy - she's free to speak her mind alls he wants! The scary part is that people actually take her words seriously. So, illegal immigrants is your beef, huh? :)

Boty - I have no idea where your comment went...never even saw it :(

Well I can't remember what witty thing I said earlier since I was most likely in a cold medicine stupor...however I love it how when a Republican spouts verbal diarrhea laced with bigoted corn poo kernels, it is referred to as "freedom of speech" and "their right as Americans to express their opinions how ever they choose". BUT if ANYONE else even comes close to exercising the freedom of speech "right" and it is not 100% identical to the Republican agenda...it is viciously accused of being "un-American", "terrorist, communist, (anything other than republican) sympathizers.

And no not all republicans are THIS ridiculous, BUT I am coming across more and more with this mind set and same "greedy six year old" attitude about the world.

It just seems in this particular interview she is picking out every little thing that she can find to bitch about, ignoring the same kind of stupid unacceptable behavior her own party is guilty of...and finds it acceptable to laugh (and what ever rat bastard thinks that's a twisted sense of humor and funny sarcasm...You are a complete idiot, I'm pretty sure you should kill yourself) at other people's suffering and loss. She is shitting all over the innocent people; men, women, and children that have been killed in horrendous ways or have lost entire families in this wretched, nightmare of a situation...oh wait but it's OK because they aren't Americans...make a remark similar to the ones she has made about other cultures, about our culture and 911..."UNACCEPTABLE! UNAMERICAN! TERRORIST SYMPATHIZER".

She is ridiculous, narrow minded, and cruel...which is much easier than living a compassionate, open minded life...surprise surprise.

The comments on this blog have given me a rash on my ass and in my brain.

ATTENTION TIM!! "at least she has an opinion" yeah man...that's what I say when the KKK comes to rally! p.s. now THAT was sarcasm.

You know what bethany; I re-thought all of what I wrote above. I now think that I really couldn't care less what Ms. Coulter or the KKK has to say. I don't really know what those people stand for and I am not qualified to analyze their points. I am not degreed in political science or psychology. I will reserve my comments for my own forum and let you experts blog all about them.

You're not "qualified" to analyze their points? LMFAO...yes you are right, obviously. If you can't quite pin point what any of (either) their long lists of points are then it's better to go eat more sand from the play box. It is VERY important to have a degree in BOTH poli-sci and psych to understand what these "cultural geniuses" and giants are talking about. Good thing I am an expert and can blog all about them here on yahoo 360 (yes it's good that Coulter has an opinion but BAD, BAD I say that anyone else does!!!). Being the expert that I am, I can also tell you that you do not qualify to breed...Please report to the local moron, I mean, human sterilization facility as soon as possible. I'm pretty sure they won't ask that you have a conscience and I think you might even get a cookie when you're done too! BONUS!

Hmmm...I didn't realize one needed to be a degreed expert in order to express an opinion or engage in interesting and passionate discourse. Whoops! My bad. From now on I'll stick to amusing anecdotes about toddlers and mountain towns. ;)

POWER TWINS ACTIVATE!

you mean, Wonder Twin Power - Activate! lol

Listen GIRLS!

I don’t believe I wrote anything above judojediworm’s comment, that mentioned my name specifically, that was directed to anyone of you personally and was rude to you. She has written comments that are inappropriate about me. Call it wonder twin power, or whatever else you want, but where and how I was raised, you can make a point, or give your opinion without being offensive to someone else. Especially someone you have never met. Call me sensitive, ignorant, or uneducated but I wonder why someone would stoop to such rudeness for no reason. Peace out!

Well girls....I must say that I read the interview and I have to side with Tim. If you know anything about Coulter, you know that she's as much of a "shock jock" as Howard Stern. But, you must agree that even Howard often has valid points. Just because someone doesn't sugar-coat how they feel (as most people do just to be politically correct), doesn't make them an evil, hateful person. You don't have to agree with all (or any) of what she says, but she does have a right to say it (just as you both do).

My advice to anyone who is so against the war is to go and talk to someone who has "been there." I get updates from a friend who's serving in Iraq - it's amazing how the media and pundits only tell you what they want to hear. Our military and our leaders are not just some wild-eyed baby killers (no, that would have been Sadaam). Even better, why don't you talk to some Iraqi's who have escaped to the US from being tortured because the government didn't like what they had to say. I have and they're glad we're there. And for what it's worth, I'm glad the war is there and not here (and don't try to tell me that's just a coincidence - the terrorists haven't just stopped trying to kill us).

cathryn said...

jennifer, my dear, I never said Coulter shouldn't have the right to free speech...and I never would. No matter how much I disagree with someone or think their opinions are ridiculous, or worse, dangerous, I would never deny them their right to express.

And who is this friend serving in Iraq? I've also talked to friends in the military who have done more than one tour over there and apparently I get a very different picture from the one you are getting.

And you say you've talked to some Iraqis who have come to the US...but have you talked to any of the Iraqis who live in Iraq? Like it or not, Americans are no longer viewed as the heroes who come swooping in to a country to save the poor local people - if we ever were viewed in that light. We are seen as self-serving bullies. We treat the rest of the world like inferior, petulant children who don't know whats best for themselves.

Do you really think our continued presence in Iraq is making any difference in the war on terror? I would say it's only exacerbating the situation. The militant Islamist's hatred and disgust only festers and grows the longer we are over there.
